Thousands of patients are treated for winter sports injuries each year. Sports such as skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, ice skating, sledding, and snowmobiling cause common injuries of concussions, fractures, wrist sprains, broken legs, and damaged ACLs/MCLs.

Flu vs. A Cold

Flu symptoms cause people to experience a sore throat, fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, cough, and fatigue, and flu usually comes on suddenly. A cold usually causes a runny or stuffy nose, and it typically develops gradually. Does it matter whether you have flu or a cold? YES - because flu can cause serious complications, such as pneumonia, so it is best to treat flu within 48 hours of experiencing symptoms.
